Nineties and two thousands kitchens
Schertz is mostly brick subdivisions built from the late eighties onward, and the kitchens repeat. An L of base cabinets, a peninsula sticking into the room, a bank of uppers hanging over it, and a soffit above that. The boxes are usually fine. What people want is the peninsula gone and the soffit dealt with so the uppers can finally go higher.
Whether the soffit can come out is worth settling before anything is drawn, because sometimes there is ductwork or a vent line inside it and sometimes there is nothing up there at all. We open a small hole and look during the design visit, so the drawings you get are based on what is really in that space.
Working to a moving date
A lot of Schertz families are tied to Randolph, and that means dates nobody gets to negotiate. A change of station or a closing sets the deadline and the kitchen has to be done before it. We would rather turn a job down than take one we cannot finish inside the window you actually have.
If your window is tight, refacing or painting gets you there when a full custom set will not, because the boxes never leave the wall. Tell us the real date on the first visit, not the comfortable one. We will tell you plainly which path fits it and which one does not.

For a short stretch, yes. There is room in the shop and we would rather hold them than install into a house that is not ready for them.
Yes. A panel ready refrigerator or dishwasher gets a door built to the manufacturer's template, and we need the model number early because those templates vary.
We quote one price for everybody and we do not pad it so a discount can come off later. Ask what a job costs and that is the number.
